The Roost Report Has Landed — Are You Getting Your Copy?
By Dr. Jacob Cox, 5/25/2026
As we kicked off 2026, the Green Jacket Roost launched an exciting new initiative: The Roost Report. This quarterly update is your source for local chapter news, upcoming events, and insights into the latest developments across our community and the wider Electromagnetic Spectrum Operations (EMSO), Cyberspace Electromagnetic Activities (CEMA), and the Information Advantage enterprises.
In April, the report featured a spotlight on the Army’s Terrestrial Layer System-Brigade Combat Team (TLS-BCT) equipment. That article sparked meaningful conversation among our members and set the stage for an upcoming Advance Planning Briefing to Industry (APBI) focused on Electromagnetic Spectrum Operations. Notifications for this special event are going out only to current AOC members, so be sure your membership is active—and don’t forget to select the Green Jacket Roost as your local chapter.
If you’re not receiving The Roost Report, it’s likely that your membership needs attention or your chapter affiliation needs updating. We’re happy to assist with getting everything aligned so you don’t miss out.
The Roost Report is delivered quarterly to the email address associated with your AOC membership. Make sure your information is up to date, stay connected, and stay informed!
Green Jacket Roost: Celebrating a Successful WIAS 2025 in Augusta!
By Dr. Jacob Cox, 2/19/2025
The dust has settled, the presentations are complete, and the connections are made. We're still buzzing with excitement after the incredibly successful Warfighter Information Advantage Symposium (WIAS) 2025, which took place in Augusta, GA just a few weeks ago! The Green Jacket Roost played a pivotal role in bringing this prestigious event to our city, and we couldn't be prouder of the outcome.
As many of you know, our Roost members dedicated countless hours over the past several months advocating for Augusta as the perfect location for WIAS 2025. We showcased our city's unique blend of technical expertise, supportive infrastructure, and rich history, demonstrating why Augusta was the ideal backdrop for fostering innovation and collaboration in the EW/IO domain. Our efforts paid off, and we were thrilled to welcome attendees from around the globe to our city.
WIAS 2025 proved to be an invaluable experience for everyone involved. The symposium provided a crucial platform for:
- Sharing Knowledge: The presentations and panels offered insightful discussions on the most pressing challenges and opportunities facing the EW/IO community. Attendees gained valuable knowledge on emerging technologies, evolving tactics, and future threats.
- Networking and Collaboration: WIAS facilitated countless connections between peers, fostering relationships and partnerships crucial for advancing the field. The energy and collaborative spirit were palpable throughout the event.
- Shaping the Future: The discussions and debates at WIAS will undoubtedly contribute to shaping the future direction of EW/IO. The diverse perspectives and expertise shared will inform the development of strategies and technologies vital to our national security.
Bringing WIAS to Augusta was a significant achievement for our Roost and the entire community. It underscored the importance of our work in promoting EW/IO and solidified Augusta's position as a center for innovation in this critical domain. The event not only benefited our members but also contributed to the local economy and raised awareness of the vital role EW/IO plays in national security.
This success would not have been possible without the unwavering support and dedication of our Green Jacket Roost members. We extend our deepest gratitude to everyone who volunteered their time, spread the word about Augusta's bid, and contributed to this successful outcome. Your hard work and commitment were truly appreciated. We've already received overwhelmingly positive feedback from attendees, highlighting the high quality of the presentations, the valuable networking opportunities, and the overall positive experience.
Now that WIAS 2025 is behind us, we look forward to building on this momentum. We encourage all members to continue their involvement in the Roost and contribute to future initiatives. Stay tuned for upcoming meetings and events as we continue to champion the EW/IO community here in Augusta. Thank you again for making WIAS 2025 such a resounding success!
